With a client list of Hollywood's elite, Lulu Powers truly is the chef, caterer, party planner, and lifestyle guru to the stars.

Lulu was born in Manhattan and raised in Weston, Connecticut. One of six children, Lulu's appreciation for great food was instilled early by her professional-caterer mother and gregarious gourmand father. The Powers family spent summers on the beautiful beaches of Nantucket where Lulu honed her skills under the owner of the island's premier specialty food shop and celebrated cookbook author, Sarah Leah Chase. Lulu's first published recipes appear in Chase's books.

After stints as a private chef for several of the prominent families of Nantucket and New York, Lulu arrived in Los Angeles armed with her wooden spoon and million-dollar smile. She created her own novel concept in catering: Lulu Powers Food to Flowers, and the phone was soon ringing off the hook. Killer cupcakes for a children's birthday party led to a gig for Sigourney Weaver. After a flattering mention in Vogue, Herb Ritts engaged Lulu to "do lunch" every day in his studio, as well as dinner and private parties. Calls from Leonardo DiCaprio, Chris Carter, and Madonna soon followed. Recommended by the Blue Ribbon Society to the White House, Lulu was selected to make lunch for President Clinton's visit to Los Angeles.

Lulu's unique touch with everything from the leanest salads to the most luscious caramel fudge brownies, to the orange tulips and fabulous decor that adorn her events, set her apart from the rest. But it is her gift for understanding the most discriminating palates and personalities that win her the loyalty of clients.
