Lurleen Ladd is an accomplished singer-songwriter whose career began with an inspired trip to Nashville in 2005. Since then she has written and performed with many revered Austin producers and musicians, including Mark Hallman and Eddy Hobizal.
Ladd’s diverse musical inspirations include a Carole King, Linda Rondstadt, and Adele. Her first album “Magnolia and Azalea Dreams” highlights the compelling energy and intense honesty that characterizes her unique songwriting style.
Magnolia and Azalea Dreams includes the work of Kyle Thompson on drums, Chris Maresh on bass, David Pulkingham on guitar, backing vocals from Ange K. And Sheree Smith, along with musical direction from producer Eddy Hobizal on keys.
Ladd, also an entrepreneur and community advocate, has used her music to support the two Central Texas organizations she founded: the Shade Project, a non-profit dedicated to skin cancer prevention and Halloween by Design, an event company raising money for local non-profits.
