Malika Fair Biography
Dr. Malika Fair, MD, MPH, FACEP is the Senior Director of Health Equity Partnerships and Programs at the Association of American Medical Colleges. In this role, Dr. Fair develops programs and initiatives to enhance institutional, faculty, and student learning in diversity & inclusion, equity, and population health.
Dr. Fair is also an assistant clinical professor and practicing physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine of The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. In 2019, she was recognized as one of the 40 Under 40 Leaders in Minority Health by the National Minority Quality Forum.
She previously served as vice chair of the Board of Directors for United Medical Center (UMC), the only hospital serving Wards 7 and 8, a significantly medically underserved area of Washington, D.C.
Dr. Fair received her Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School as well as the university's School of Public Health. She completed her residency program at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.
