Marilyn Sherman

Marilyn Sherman is dedicated to training people to let go of obstacles and live and work with courage, commitment, and confidence. For the last 25 years, she has motivated audiences both in the U.S. and internationally, specializing in topics such as conflict resolution, communication, motivation, inspiration, success, and practical tools to implement immediately. Sherman's expertise extends across various industries, including government, corporations, and hospitality.

Sherman is known for her dynamic and engaging presentations that offer success strategies to overcome obstacles, foster a more positive mindset, and reduce conflict in the workplace. Not only does she provide impactful live presentations, but she has also authored several motivational books that have been touted as life-changing. Her books include "Is There A Hole In Your Bucket List?", "Whose Comfort Zone Are You In?", "Why Settle for the Balcony, How to Get a Front-Row Seat in Life", and "Front-Row Service".

Sherman holds a degree from Washington State University and has been an Artist in Residence at High Point University. Her career began in corporate America, where she was recognized early for her leadership potential and entered into an 18-month accelerated management program. Eventually, she became a training officer, developing and delivering leadership training for a major finance company. After working for a seminar company, she founded her own speaking and training company, UpFront Presentations. Sherman has inspired teams at high-profile clients such as Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, FDIC, the US Post Office, and various associations ranging from Candle companies to Bar Association Executives, to SHRM.

Marilyn Sherman is a Certified Speaking Professional™, a prestigious designation held by only a small percentage of speakers worldwide. She enjoys living and working in Las Vegas with her husband, Yves de Boisredon. Sherman is actively involved in community service; she serves on the board of The Village of Hope, a non-profit after-school program for homeless and underprivileged youth and is deeply involved with Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada.
