Mark Huselid

Dr. Mark A. Huselid is a Professor of HR Strategy in the School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) at Rutgers University. His research, teaching, and consulting activities focus on the development of balanced measurement systems to reflect the contribution of the workforce, workforce management systems, and the HR management function to strategy execution and business success. Dr. Huselid served as the Editor of the Human Resource Management Journal from 2000-2004, and is a member of many academic and professional boards. Recognized with numerous awards for his research, he is among the most highly cited scholars in the organizational sciences.

Dr. Huselid has delivered nearly 500 presentations globally, including in the U.S., Europe, Africa, and Asia. He has consulted on HR measurement and HR strategy with numerous companies worldwide. Dr. Huselid frequently conducts seminars for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) on HR and Workforce Scorecards. His first book, "The HR Scorecard: Linking People, Strategy & Performance" (co-authored with Brian Becker and Dave Ulrich), has been translated into ten languages and is an international bestseller. His subsequent books, "The Workforce Scorecard: Managing Human Capital to Execute Strategy" and "The Differentiated Workforce," have also been translated into multiple languages and achieved international bestseller status.

Dr. Huselid has been invited to present his research at prestigious institutions including the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, MIT’s Sloan School of Management, Stanford's Graduate School of Business, and Columbia University, among others. In addition to numerous presentations at academic conferences, he has also been an invited or keynote speaker at many practitioner conferences, and has frequently presented his research to corporate audiences throughout the world. Dr. Huselid resides in New Jersey with his family.
