Matt Kane

Matt Kane recently completed shooting a recurring role on the popular ABC television series "Once Upon A Time." He plays “Glasses” as known as John Darling, a sophisticated but calculating young man with a troubled past. Matt was previously seen as the recurring role of Jace on the popular ABC Family series "Switched At Birth."

He plays a British millennial Renaissance man who impresses Daphne (series star Katie Leclerc) with his dry wit. Matt will soon be seen in producers Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler’s biopic "The Last of Robin Hood" opposite Kevin Kline, Susan Sarandon and Dakota Fanning. Directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland, the film tells the story of the aging Errol Flynn’s relationship with a teen starlet and premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Matt plays Ronnie Shedlo, Errol Flynn’s loyal young assistant.

Matt will also soon be seen in the independent film "Stay Then Go," where he stars as the lead role of Eddie. He plays an autistic teen and aspiring artist who encounters new obstacles after the death of his doting mother.

Additional roles include the lead of the cinéma-vérité film "The Dinosaur Project," the story of a father-son expedition in the Congo being followed by a TV documentary crew who recover footage showing stunning images of dinosaurs thought to be extinct for 65 million years. Matt also starred as the series regular role of Stephen Mackinnon, the handsome and academically gifted teenager recovering from the tragic death of his girlfriend, on the popular BBC teen drama series "The Cut." Matt is a dual UK/American citizen.
