Micah Olson Biography
Micah Olson is the owner and mixologist at Bar Crudo in Phoenix. Crudo is a small neighborhood cocktail bar which focuses on seasonal garden to glass cocktails. Before starting Crudo, Olson worked at Merc Bar in Phoenix as head mixologist, and previously was the sommelier/wine buyer, bar manager and mixologist at Elements Restaurant at the Sanctuary Resort In Paradise Valley, AZ.
Olson started as off as a line cook when he was 16 in South Dakota and never looked back. When he moved to Phoenix, he was moved to the front of the house and at 21 got the wine bug and started studying to become a sommelier. At 28, Olson was involved in a week-long mixology session with Ryan Magarian and fell in love with the idea of being able to create new and interesting flavor combinations. Olson says he loves all of the wonderful people he gets the chance to meet and work alongside on a daily basis, creating some great lifelong friendships. With over 17 years in the industry, Olson says he has worked every possible position in F&B. After nearly 2 decades in the business, Olson still strives for satisfaction with each and every guest, which he calls the ultimate bottom line in hospitality.
