For more than two decades, Muriel Summers was at the helm of A.B. Combs Elementary. The highly diverse and award-winning school carries the honor of being the original Leader in Me school, with Summers as co-author of the book by the same name.
Currently, 5,000 K-12 schools in over 50 countries are replicating the transformative leadership model that Summers and her staff initiated, and which inclusively sees all adults—and ALL students—as leaders.
Following her recent retirement from Wake County Public Schools in Raleigh, North Carolina, Summers joined FranklinCovey Education as its Global Ambassador. She presents at international and local educational conferences on such topics as:
