Myrel Iturrey Biography
Myrel is a member of the investment team at Insight Venture Partners. Based in New York, Insight is one of the world’s largest technology investors, having deployed over $23Bn dating back to 1995. In her role, Myrel focuses on both high-growth and mature software businesses and is responsible for sourcing and executing new investments as well as assisting in portfolio management post-close. Prior to joining Insight, Myrel worked in the Investment Banking division at Morgan Stanley where she helped advise on numerous M&A transactions, leveraged buyouts, spin-offs, and debt and equity offerings for technology-enabled services companies.
Myrel is actively involved in various non-profit initiatives related to her family’s native Cuba and the promotion of gender diversity in the workplace. Most notably, she is a member of the Cuba Study Group and the Co-President of Synergist, a network that aims to empower female investors on a national scale. Myrel graduated Magna Cum Laude from Dartmouth College with a BA in Government.
In her spare time, Myrel enjoys running outside and browsing New York City restaurant blogs for her next reservation. She is a member of the Architectural League of New York and is especially interested in airport and transit architecture.
