Nabeela Elsayed

Nabeela Elsayed brings over two decades of extensive experience in operations, human resources, and technology. Her exceptional career has earned her recognition as one of the Globe and Mail’s Top 50 Executives, WXN’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada, and HRD’s Top 100 HR Leaders. Throughout her professional journey, she has held leadership positions at prominent companies like Walmart, IKEA, and Starbucks Coffee.

In her role as the former Chief Operations Officer at Walmart Canada, Elsayed was responsible for overseeing more than 400 stores, serving 1.5 million customers, and managing a workforce of 100,000 associates. In addition to her corporate achievements, she has also made significant contributions as a board member for TaskRabbit and as a board advisor for the Future Skills Centre of Canada. Currently, she serves as a board director for the Miracle Foundation, which focuses on alleviating the suffering of orphaned children worldwide, and at the National Council of Canadian Muslims.

Moreover, speaker Elsayed is recognized not only as a leader but also as a driving force for positive change. She founded MuslimHaqq to combat misconceptions about Muslims and co-founded Riple, which aims to reshape discussions on wellbeing. Her commitment to nurturing the next generation of responsible leaders is evident in her role as a faculty member of Competent Boards and as a certified executive coach, where she is a member of the Marshall Goldsmith 100 Coaches.

Academically, Elsayed holds a dual degree in Marketing and Supply Chain Management from Indiana University and a master’s degree in industrial and organizational Behavior from the University of Texas.
