Nate Boyer

Nate Boyer, a television personality, actor, and former United States Army Green Beret and professional football player, established a diverse career, from playing as a long snapper for the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL to co-creating the foundation, Merging Vets & Players (MVP), with Jay Glazer. This organization is aimed at supporting military veterans and retired athletes. Notably, Boyer achieved his NFL career despite never playing a down of organized football before his time in the Special Forces. He played for the University of Texas Longhorns and became the oldest rookie in NFL history at 34 while playing for the Seattle Seahawks.

Boyer appeared in the "Madden NFL 18" video game's story mode "Longshot" as Captain McCarthy, a character closely mirroring his real-life experience as a Green Beret. He played a secret agent in the 2018 film "Den of Thieves" and appeared as a private military contractor in the TV series "Mayans M.C." on FX. He also emerged as a filmmaker, directing the film "MVP." Boyer began hosting the Discovery Channel reality competition series "Survive the Raft" in July 2023 and also hosted the NFL Network series "Indivisible with Nate Boyer."

In addition to his involvement in film and television, Boyer is active as a motivational speaker. He has spoken to various groups, including renowned companies such as Microsoft, Budweiser, USAA, and General Mills, as well as veteran groups and athletic organizations. Boyer's achievements were recognized when winning the Disney Sports Spirit Award in 2012.
