Nick Guthe

Nick Guthe is a writer, director, and producer living in Los Angeles. He has directed world-class talent like Alec Baldwin, Jeff Goldblum, and Carrie-Anne Moss, as well as professional athletes like NBA World Champion Anthony Davis and NHL Stanley Cup winner Steven Stamkos. Guthe has directed and produced an ESPN 30 for 30 and is a passionate advocate for Long-Term COVID awareness, suicide prevention, and early-onset scoliosis treatment.

Guthe became a leading voice for Long Covid awareness in the United States after his wife, Heidi Ferrer, committed suicide in May 2021 due to her physical deterioration from the many physical symptoms. In a powerful essay, Guthe pled for help from the medical community in acknowledging the post-COVID physical and mental complications and making those suffering feel heard and believed.

Guthe now serves as the senior producer and executive creative director at Red Krypton, a marketing agency, consulting firm, and venture capital group. At Red Krypton, Guthe aids in product placement campaigns in Hollywood films and television and has placed client products on Ryan Gosling, James Marsden, Sterling K. Brown, and many others.
