Peter Boyd

Peter Boyd is the Founder & CEO of Time4Good and an Executive Fellow at Yale University’s Center for Business and the Environment. He has been advising The B Team on their 'Net-Zero by 2050' initiative, which addresses strategies for transitioning to a "Net-Zero" environmental impact economy—a topic he frequently discusses as a keynote speaker. Boyd has leveraged his expertise in strategy, marketing, and climate change solutions in various high-impact roles, including more than ten years with the Virgin Group and as a senior advisor to global NGOs and government initiatives. He was also the launch director and later COO of Sir Richard Branson’s Carbon War Room. Boyd's leadership there led to it being honored as BusinessGreen’s NGO of the Year. Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, he was educated at the University of Oxford and now resides in Westport, CT, USA, where he serves on the board of Earthplace and the town’s Green Task Force.

At Yale, Boyd's role as an Executive Fellow involves guest-lecturing, promoting social and environmental entrepreneurship, offering career advice to students, and hosting the 'Net-Zero Think Project' discussion group. This initiative complements his professional focus on reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable development practices globally. His extensive experience includes speaking at international climate negotiations in locations such as Copenhagen, Durban, Cancun, Paris, and Marrakech, and advising UK government teams on energy efficiency policy.

Outside of Yale, Boyd continues to make significant contributions to the field of environmental sustainability and business through his work with Time4Good—a platform he developed to connect leaders with social and ecological causes, and improve time management and productivity. His international work experience spans a variety of sectors, including shipping, trucking, and island governments, providing him with numerous practical examples of sustainable solutions in business. Boyd's ability to engage audiences has been recognized at several conferences, notably including the Canadian Solar Industries Association conference. In Westport, he remains actively involved with local environmental initiatives as a board member of Earthplace and as a participant in the town’s Green Task Force.
