Peter Linneman, PhD

For over 40 years, Dr. Peter Linneman's profound understanding and expert insight in both academia and the real estate industry have been recognized globally. He has received numerous accolades including the Graaskamp Award for Real Estate Research, the Lifetime Achievement Award from Wharton’s Zell-Lurie Real Estate Center, and the Special Achievement Award from Realty Stock Magazine. He was also named "One of the 25 Most Influential People in Real Estate" by Realtor Magazine and included in The New York Observer’s “100 Most Powerful People in New York Real Estate”.

Dr. Linneman holds a Masters and Doctorate in Economics, studied under Nobel Prize laureates such as Milton Friedman and Gary Becker. His academic tenure spanned over three decades at The University of Chicago and The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. At Wharton, he was the Albert Sussman Professor of Real Estate, Finance, and Public Policy and served as the Founding Chairman of the Real Estate Department and Director of the Zell-Lurie Real Estate Center. He authored several influential books, including "Real Estate Finance and Investments: Risks and Opportunities" and "The Great Age Reboot: Cracking the Longevity Code for a Younger Tomorrow," and has published over 100 scholarly articles.

In his extensive business career, Dr. Linneman is the Founding Principal of Linneman Associates, LLC, an eminent real estate advisory firm. His past leadership roles include CEO positions at American Land Fund and KL Realty, and he notably served as Chairman of Rockefeller Center Properties, leading its successful restructuring and sale. Currently, Dr. Linneman is involved with the SAM Elimu project, an educational charity supporting orphans and impoverished children in rural Kenya, continuing his dedication to impactful educational initiatives. He has served on over 20 public and private boards throughout his career. Dr. Linneman has been married for over 40 years and maintains an active lifestyle as an exercise enthusiast.
