Poppy Jamie

Poppy Jamie began her career while studying at the London School of Economics, where she became the youngest television host at ITN. After graduating, she relocated to Los Angeles to work with MTV, ITV, and later launched "Pillow Talk with Poppy," Snapchat’s first chat show. Jamie has also hosted for networks and events including E!, MTV, and the American Music Awards.

In 2015, Jamie founded "Happy Not Perfect," a mental wellbeing app, driven by her desire to provide a tool to help manage anxiety and stress, influenced by the barrage of messages she received from viewers and inspiration from her mother, a neurotherapist. She co-authored the book "Happy Not Perfect: Upgrade Your Mind, Challenge Your Thoughts, and Free Yourself from Anxiety" to extend her reach on mental health education. Alongside her work on mental wellbeing, Jamie co-founded the fashion accessories brand Pop & Suki with actress Suki Waterhouse, a brand that celebrates the meaning of friendship.

Jamie's dedication to mental health advocacy is reflected in her "Unwind" podcast, which has ranked in the top ten for mental health in Europe, and her TEDx talk "Addicted to Likes," which addresses the negative impacts of social media on mental health. Recognized as a happiness expert, she explores topics such as wellness, the impact of social media, and effective coping strategies like breathing and journaling. In 2017, Jamie was named in Forbes’ '30 under 30' and appointed the youngest board member of the Resnic Neuropsychiatric Hospital Advisory Board at UCLA. She was also recognized with the “Points of Light Award” by former UK Prime Minister Theresa May for her contributions to mental health. Her continued efforts include promoting practical tools and scientific research to improve mental health through topics like the Flexy Thoughts approach and mindfulness strategies.
