Poppy Macdonald Biography
Poppy MacDonald is the President of USAFacts, a non-profit initiative that provides well-visualized data on the American people and their government. With over 20 years of experience in media, polling, and public affairs, she leads the effort to help Americans ground their democratic debate in facts and foster civic engagement.
Before joining USAFacts in 2018, Macdonald was the President and Chief Operating Officer of POLITICO USA, where she oversaw the company's U.S. operations and strategy. She also served as the Publisher and President of National Journal, and as a Partner at Gallup Inc., where she launched the World Poll and led the health care practice. She started her career on Capitol Hill, working for members of Congress from her hometown in the Pacific Northwest. She is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and serves on the Board of the Seattle chapter.
Macdonald is a graduate of Scripps College.
