Ron Busby

Ron Busby, is not only the leader of the nation’s premier non-profit organization for Black Business owners; he also is a successful business owner in his own right. He comes with an extensive background in small business, having started and grown his own enterprise, and has been recognized as one of the country’s best CEOs. He grew his first business, USA SuperClean, from $150,000 annual revenue to over $15 million in only 10 years. Ron has received countless awards, from the Western Region SBA Small Business Person of the Year in 1996, to the Greater Phoenix Chamber Small Business Person of the Year in 2006, and the Maricopa County Small Business of the Year in 2007. Most recently, Mr. Busby was selected “Advocate of the Year” by the Minority Development Business Agency, and was bestowed the Maudine R. Cooper Community Excellence Award by the Greater Washington Urban League Young Professionals, and chosen as a “Made Man” honoree by the 100 Black Men of Greater Washington, D.C.

Trained by some of the country’s leading executives, Ron developed many of his skills at some of the world’s most recognizable corporations including Exxon, Xerox, IBM, and Coca Cola USA, while holding various senior management positions. During his stint in corporate America, Ron also received distinction as National Sales Person of the Year.

A native of Oakland, California by way of Houston, Texas, Ron has led and served on many boards and committees for organizations including Co-Chair of the Super Bowl XL II Host Committee, Arizona Governor’s African American Leadership Council, The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, President of the 100 Black Men (Bay Area Chapter), the Urban League, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Currently, Ron serves on the Pfizer Small Business Council, Macy’s Supplier Diversity Advisory Council, the National Newspapers Publishers Association Foundation Board of Directors, and White House African American Leadership Council. He also has served on the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Council on Underserved Communities.

A graduate with honors from both Florida A&M University and Clark Atlanta University, Ron is a major advocate and promoter of the necessity of higher education. As past Chairman & President of the Greater Phoenix Black Chamber of Commerce, working towards the success of the national Black business agenda remains a priority today.
