Saoirse Ronan

Saoirse Ronan first graced the acting scene with her debut in the 2003 Irish medical drama series "The Clinic," quickly escalating to her film debut in "I Could Never Be Your Woman" in 2007. The same year, she landed a breakthrough role in "Atonement," which earned her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. This was the start of a continuous trajectory of critical acclaim, with Oscar nominations for her roles in "Brooklyn," "Lady Bird," and "Little Women," the latter being her highest-grossing release. Her performance in "Lady Bird" also won her a Golden Globe Award. Ronan's diverse acting skills were demonstrated as she successfully ventured into various genres, from the action film "Hanna," where she performed her own stunts, to voicing the lead role in the dubbed English version of Studio Ghibli's anime film "Arrietty."

Not limiting herself to the screen, Ronan has also showcased her talents on stage, notably portraying Abigail Williams in the 2016 Broadway revival of "The Crucible" and Lady Macbeth in the 2021 West End revival of "The Tragedy of Macbeth." In addition to her acting, Ronan has proven her capabilities behind the scenes, co-founding the production company Arcade Pictures and producing and starring in the drama "The Outrun." In 2024, she starred in Steve McQueen's "Blitz." Her accolades include wins and nominations from the British Academy Film Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, and four Academy Awards. Emphasizing her versatility, Ronan has taken part in many other ventures, from hosting an episode of NBC's "Saturday Night Live" in 2017 to appearing in the music video for Ed Sheeran's song "Galway Girl." Her philanthropic efforts include serving as an ambassador for the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and participating in a music video for Hozier's "Cherry Wine" to raise awareness about domestic violence.
