Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker is an American actress, producer, and entrepreneur best known for her role as Carrie Bradshaw in the hit television series “Sex and the City” (1998–2004). Her portrayal of Carrie, a New York City columnist navigating the complexities of love, friendship, and fashion, earned her critical acclaim and numerous awards, including four Golden Globe Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Primetime Emmy Awards.

After “Sex and the City” ended, Parker reprised her role as Carrie Bradshaw in two feature films, “Sex and the City” (2008) and “Sex and the City 2” (2010). She also starred in and produced the HBO series “Divorce” (2016–2019). In addition to her acting career, Parker has been involved in various fashion ventures, including her own line of fragrances and a successful shoe brand, SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker.

Outside of her work in film and television, Parker is an advocate for several charitable causes, including arts education and cancer research. She is married to actor Matthew Broderick, and they have three children together.

Born in Nelsonville, Ohio, Parker began her acting career at a young age, performing on Broadway in productions such as “Annie” and “The Innocents.” She gained wider recognition with roles in films like “Footloose” (1984) and “Honeymoon in Vegas” (1992). However, it was her role in “Sex and the City” that catapulted her to international fame.
