Sarah Maizes Biography
Sarah is an award-winning author, comedian, parenting humorist, and an expert in the fields of publishing, entertainment and reinvention.
She’s a former entertainment executive (William Morris Agency, NYC), turned TV development executive, turned mother of three, turned stand-up comedian, who has been referred to as the love child of Tina Fey and Sarah Silverman.
She has written for E!’s “Fashion Police,” is a regular contributor to TODAY.com, HuffingtonPost.com, and CBS/LosAngeles.com (Best of LA/Families), and her work has been featured in Los Angeles Magazine on MSNBC.com, CNN.com, Glamour.com, MarieClaire.com, More.com, JDate.com/JMag.com, PopSugar.com, Mom.Me, DivineCaroline.com, Yahoo.com, and Autisable.com (a website for parents of children with Autism).
Sarah is the author of several books for children including "On My Way to the Bath," a Children's Book Council's Best Picture Book of 2012, and "On My Way to Bed," a New York Times Children's Book Review Bookshelf "pick." She is also the author of several non-fiction humor books including “Got Milf? The Modern Mom's Guide to Feeling Fabulous, Looking Great and Rocking a Minivan” (Berkley Books) - featured on The Today Show.
As a stand-up comedian, she has performed at The Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Store in Hollywood, and Stand-Up NY (a video of her first ever stand-up performance was a #1 Featured Comedy video on YouTube.com and has received over 130,000 views.)
Sarah is a divorced mom of three (including two “twice-exceptional” children) and lives in Southern California where she prides herself on her ability to park her full-sized SUV in a compact space and p*ss off Snookie's PR woman.
