Scott Frost

Scott Frost is currently the head football coach at the University of Nebraska, where he has been in charge since December 2017. Before returning to his alma mater, Frost was the head coach at the University of Central Florida. During his tenure at UCF in 2017, he led the Knights to an undefeated season and a significant victory in the Peach Bowl over No. 7 Auburn, marking the first undefeated and untied season in the school’s history. Following this bowl victory, UCF claimed a national championship. Frost's earlier coaching roles included positions at Oregon, Northern Iowa, and Kansas State. While at Oregon as an offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, he was a finalist for the 2014 Broyles Award, recognizing the nation's top assistant coach. That same year, his protégé Marcus Mariota won the Heisman Trophy and led the Ducks to the National Championship game.

Before embarking on his coaching career, Frost played quarterback at Stanford for two seasons before transferring to Nebraska. During his tenure as a Cornhusker, he led the team to a 24-2 record over two seasons and was a key player on Tom Osborne’s 1997 team that shared the national championship with Michigan. Frost was a Johnny Unitas Golden Arm finalist in the 1997 season, becoming the tenth player in college football history to both rush and pass for over 1,000 yards. After college, he was drafted 67th overall by the New York Jets in the 1998 NFL draft and went on to play six years in the NFL with teams including the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
