Sean Foley

Sean Foley is a renowned golf instructor celebrated for coaching three professional players to the number one ranking in golf, including players like Justin Rose, the 2018 FedEx Cup Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist, and Danny Willett, the 2016 Masters champion. He notably coached Tiger Woods from 2010 to 2014 and currently guides talents such as Cameron Champ and Lydia Ko. His players have collectively secured 56 wins across various professional golf tours worldwide.

Born and raised just outside of Toronto, Foley was inspired to pursue a career in coaching elite players after observing David Leadbetter coach Nick Faldo at the RBC Canadian Open in 1988. He completed his collegiate golf career at Tennessee State University before embarking on his teaching career at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, ON. Foley has been consistently recognized for his coaching excellence, featuring on the front cover of "Golf Digest" twice and ranking in the top five of "Golf Digest’s" annual coach rankings for over a decade. He was also voted the best instructor by PGA TOUR players on two occasions.

Currently, Foley hosts NBC’s "GolfPass" and operates out of Sean Foley Performance at EaglesDream, focusing on elite golf training and providing a premier experience for junior players. His teaching philosophy not only hones the technical skills of golfers but also emphasizes their development as individuals, incorporating biomechanics, physiology, performance psychology, and philosophy into his instruction. Foley has shared his expertise at events for major companies, including MetLife, Grant Thornton, Home Depot, Zendesk, MIT Sloan Analytics, and Dell. He resides in Windermere, Florida, with his wife, Kate, and their two sons, Quinn and Kieran.
