Sean Kanan Biography
Sean Kanan is an American actor, writer, author, comedian, and Emmy-winning producer known for his diverse roles including A.J. Quartermaine in "General Hospital," Deacon Sharpe in both "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "The Young and the Restless," and Mike Barnes in "The Karate Kid Part III."
Born in Ohio and later relocating to Pennsylvania, Kanan's early interest in martial arts influenced his portrayal of Mike Barnes. He studied boxing, karate, and kickboxing from a young age. Kanan pursued higher education at Mercersburg Academy, Boston College, and UCLA, ultimately earning a degree in political science from UCLA. Recently, he has created and starred in the Emmy-award-winning digital drama "Studio City," available on Amazon Prime.
Beyond acting, Kanan has authored the book "Success Factor X," which became an Amazon new release best-seller. His speeches often blend his personal journey and professional experiences in the entertainment industry, providing actionable insights for personal and professional success. Kanan remains active in studying martial arts, writing, and cooking, and continues his involvement with the Anti-Defamation League.
