Shameik Moore

Shameik Moore got his first lead role at the age of 19 as “Malcom” in Rick Famuyiwa’s Dope. For his performance, Shameik was nominated for the Critics Choice Award for Best Young Actor/Actress and included on Indiewire’s list of "The 12 Major Breakouts of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival."

Shameik quickly emerged as a leading young voice when he starred as “Miles Morales,” a Black and Puerto Rican Spiderman, in the Academy Award-winning film Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. For this role, Moore received an Online Film and Television Association award for “Best Voice-Over Performance.” The film itself also received a Golden Globe and the 2019 BAFTA Award for "Best Animated Featured Film." Shameik reprised his role in the highly anticipated sequel in 2022.

Shameik can be seen as the co-lead in the feature, Silver Star, opposite Sydney Sweeney as well as in Adam McKay’s highly anticipated forthcoming series Killjoy.

Recently, Shameik Moore can be seen in Netflix’s holiday feature Let It Snow alongside Isabela Merced, Kiernan Shipka, Odeya Rush, Joan Cusack and more. The romantic comedy, based on the popular John Green novel of the same name, premiered on Netflix on November 8th. The film quickly rose into the Netflix top 10 and Shameik was particularly noted as the films “secret weapon.” He can also be seen as “Blink” in the RZA-directed heist drama Cut Throat City alongside Eiza Gonzalez, Ethan Hawke, and Kat Graham.

Shameik can also be seen starring in RZA’s Wu Tang: An American Saga series for Hulu, which follows the formation of the Wu-Tang Clan in 1990s New York City. He also recently starred as “Phil” in James Franco’s The Pretenders alongside Jack Kilmer and Jane Levy.

On television, Moore starred as “Shaolin Fantastic” in Baz Luhrmann's Netflix series The Get Down. Outside of his roles on screen, Shameik maintains a strong connection to music. He recorded several tracks for Dope’s soundtrack with Grammy award-winner, Pharrell. Throughout his music career, Moore has also worked with the likes of Malay, Bongo By The Way, Ludwig, and XXYYXX.
