Shane Ortega is a seasoned transformative change agent and human rights equity advocate with a distinguished background in military service, community activism, and academic pursuits. Holding an undergraduate degree in Public Health and Policy and a Master's of Legal Studies in Indigenous Peoples Law, Ortega possesses a deep understanding of complex social issues and a commitment to justice.

As the Founder/Director of Ultraviolet Events Co LTD, Ortega was dedicated to fostering inclusive and equitable environments through innovative programming and education. With a keen focus on intersectionality and equity, Ortega leverages their unique perspective to drive positive social change. As a DEI consultant and keynote speaker, they empower organizations to cultivate compassionate, equitable workplaces that celebrate diversity and promote inclusivity.

Ortega's commitment to equity is evident in their advocacy work for LGBTQ+ rights and military veterans. Their research on transgender military personnel has been instrumental in shaping policy and advancing inclusivity within the armed forces. As a co-author of the DOD Instruction 1300.28 and the Journal of Gay & Lesbian Mental Health article, "Trans in the United States military: Fighting for change," Ortega's contributions have been instrumental in driving positive change for LGBTQ+ service members.

As a Cybersecurity and AI Engineer in training, Ortega is poised to leverage their technical skills to address emerging challenges and opportunities in the digital age.
