Simon Schama

An English historian and television presenter, Simon Schama is renowned for his specialization in art history, Dutch history, Jewish history, and French history. His academic pursuits led him to the prestigious Professor of History and Art History role at Columbia University. He has also held the title of Mellon Professor of History at Harvard University. Schama first garnered public attention with his history of the French Revolution, "Citizens," which went on to win the 1990 NCR Book Award.
