Sophie Buddle is a Canadian stand-up comedian who began her journey in comedy at the age of 15, sparked by her weekly visits to open mics with her mother. By the age of 21, Buddle had already toured across Canada, gaining exposure by opening for well-known acts such as Bob Saget and Caroline Rhea. She made her first national TV appearance at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, following her prominent placement as a runner-up in SiriusXM’s "Top Comic."
Her comedic career progressed significantly as she was not only a semi-finalist in the 2018 edition of SiriusXM Canada's "Canada's Top Comic" competition but also received a Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year in 2020 for her album "A Lil Bit of Buddle." However, her creative pursuits are not limited to stand-up comedy. Buddle has contributed her writing talents to the television industry, working as a writer for the sketch comedy series "This Hour Has 22 Minutes." Buddle also shares her comedic insights beyond the stage and screen through the podcast "Obsessed," which she co-hosts with fellow comedian Mayce Galoni.
