Spencer Lee

Spencer Lee is an accomplished American freestyle and folkstyle Olympic wrestler.

Lee's journey in wrestling began at Franklin Regional High School and continued at the University of Iowa, where he won three NCAA Division I national championships and was named the NCAA's Most Dominant Wrestler. His accolades at the University of Iowa also include winning three Big Ten titles and being named the Big Ten Wrestler of the Year multiple times. In 2023, he successfully claimed the Big Ten title and competed in the NCAA tournament.

Among his many achievements, he secured a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, a testament to his exceptional skills and dedication. He also won the gold medal at the 2024 Pan American Championships and a gold at the 2023 US National Championships. His journey to the Olympics was marked by victories at the 2024 US Olympic Team Trials and the World Qualification Tournament, securing his spot on the US Olympic Team. He won a silver medal at the Olympic wrestling event, marking his significant success in international wrestling competitions.

Apart from his athletic accomplishments, Lee's academic efforts have not gone unnoticed. He has been recognized as a three-time Academic All-Big Ten and three-time NWCA Scholar Athlete while at the University of Iowa. His recognition also extends to prestigious awards such as the James E. Sullivan Award and the Dan Hodge Trophy, both of which he won twice.
