David's lifelong fascination with motor vehicles began at a young age, leading him to work on a diverse range of vehicles, from off-road four-wheel drives to hot rod street trucks to all-terrain vehicles. His background in racing provided an opportunity to learn from racing legends such as Richard Petty, Don Garlits, and Carroll Shelby, further solidifying his expertise in the field.

David's practical experience transcends beyond personal projects, notably with the establishment of his custom car shop, Rattletrap, in Nashville.
