Stephanie Murphy

Stephanie Murphy, a notable figure in American politics, served as the U.S. representative for Florida's 7th congressional district from 2017 to 2023. Her tenure in Congress is marked by her distinction as the first Vietnamese-American woman and only the second Vietnamese-American elected to this position. During her service, Murphy held key roles on various committees, including her role as Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Intelligence & Special Operations and member of the Subcommittee on Tactical Air & Land Forces. She was appointed to the Ways and Means Committee after the Democrats won a majority in the House in 2018 and also served on the House Armed Services Committee, Small Business Committee, and the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol.
