Steve Harvey is a versatile entertainer, comedian, television host, radio personality, author, and businessman, recognized for his dynamic personality and commitment to his craft. His career took off in the realm of comedy, where his quick wit and sharp humor propelled him to recognition in the stand-up circuit. His notable breakthrough came in the early 1990s as the host of the television show "It’s Showtime at the Apollo," which solidified his status in the entertainment industry.

Harvey's television accomplishments continued with "The Steve Harvey Show," a successful sitcom that aired from 1996 to 2002, and saw him starring as the affable high school teacher, Steve Hightower. Beyond acting, he demonstrated his versatility as a host, stepping into a long-running role on "Family Feud" in 2010, where his humorous and candid approach gave new life to the show. Additionally, he hosts the spin-off, "Celebrity Family Feud," "Family Feud Africa," and the arbitration-based court comedy "Judge Steve Harvey" on ABC since January 2022. His influence as a host has extended across various formats, earning him seven Daytime Emmy Awards, two Marconi Awards, fourteen NAACP Image Awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2013.

In addition to television, Harvey has made a mark as a best-selling author, with titles like "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man," and "Jump: Take the Leap of Faith to Achieve Your Life of Abundance," published in 2016. Outside of entertainment, Harvey is committed to philanthropy, primarily through The Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation, which he founded with his wife, Marjorie Harvey. The foundation focuses on youth education and provides youth outreach services, including a yearly camp for fatherless children.
