Steve Toussaint

Steve Toussaint is a distinguished British actor known for his commanding performances across television, film, and stage. Born and raised in the United Kingdom to Barbadian parents, he pursued a career in acting after studying politics at the University of Sussex.

Toussaint first came to prominence through his role in the ITV crime drama "The Knock" but gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Lord Corlys Velaryon, also known as the "Sea Snake," in HBO's critically acclaimed series "House of the Dragon." As the first Black actor to play a prominent noble in the "Game of Thrones" universe, his groundbreaking role earned praise for its depth and nuance, as well as for breaking barriers in representation within the fantasy genre.

His acting career spans over three decades, with notable appearances in projects such as "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time," "Judge Dredd," and the BBC procedural "Line of Duty." On stage, he has brought his craft to life in productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company, London's National Theatre, BAM Harvey Theater and other esteemed theater companies.
