Sue Bird

After a championed career spanning three decades regarded as the world’s premier point guard, Sue Bird has left her mark on the Seattle Storm, the WNBA and the world of sports. The league's all-time leader in assists retired in September of 2022 and has since tapped into her progressive entrepreneurial spirit. A living icon, Bird holds a strong legacy of being selfless, driven, encouraging, funny and smart.

Bird is a born leader who has dominated at every level; she is one of only seven women to win an Olympic Gold Medal (she’s won five), a World Championship Gold Medal (she’s won four) an NCAA Championship (she’s won two), and a WNBA Championship (she’s won four - the last just weeks before her 40th birthday). Bird is also a five-time Euroleague Champion, a thirteen-time WNBA All-Star, 2021 USA Basketball Female Athlete of the Year, and was voted by the fans as one of the WNBA’s Top 15 Players of All Time.

Bird’s vocal stance on racial, gender, and LGBTQ+ equity has made her a cornerstone in athletic representation and allyship. In 2021, Bird founded TOGETHXR -- a woman-centered media group -- alongside three influential women athletes to further the progress, culture, representation, and coverage of all women and girls in sport. In December 2022, alongside fiancé Megan Rapinoe and in partnership with TOGETHXR, Bird launched a production company focused on telling the stories of the people moving culture forward. Named A Touch More, the pair is determined to bring more understanding, connection, entertainment, and conversation to the ever-evolving media landscape. Additionally, Bird is the Chief Strategy Officer for Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment, a new firm that seeks to become the agency of record in women’s sports.
