Taryn Hughes

Taryn Hughes is a certified Compassion Fatigue Therapist (CFT) and Compassion Fatigue Educator (CFE) through the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology, a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP) through the International Association of Trauma Professionals, and is the founding CEO of Forest Hughes & Associates.

Hughes offers hope for healing, having lived through and recovered from traumatic stress. She is on a mission to support professionals in their recovery and to educate leaders on trauma-informed organizational solutions that keep their staff safe, healthy, and protected.

Hughes created the first-ever workplace friendly secondary trauma recovery program - Compassion Fatigue RESET™ because learning about symptoms and self-care is not enough to provide real relief to frontline workers. Professionals needed an accessible program that they felt comfortable participating in on-the-job.

Honored as one of OBO’s “Top 100” 2019 innovators in business, with more than a decade of experience in trauma recovery, and trauma-informed coaching, consulting, program development, and facilitation, Hughes is a moral powerhouse committed to offering practical and evidence-based solutions to workplaces across the globe.

Hughes understands the complexity, exhaustion, and altered life path of professionals who serve or protect others having worked in nonprofits, government agencies, and international institutions throughout her career.
