The Chemical Brothers Biography
The Chemical Brothers are a Grammy Award-winning British electronic music duo composed of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons. The duo originated in Manchester in 1989.
Along with the Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, and other fellow acts, they were pioneers at bringing the big beat genre to the forefront of pop culture. They achieved widespread success when their second album, Dig Your Own Hole, topped the UK charts in 1997. In the U.K., they have had six #1 albums and thirteen Top Twenty singles, including two that hit #1.
In 2019, The Chemical Brothers' album No Geography was nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album in the 62nd Grammy Awards, a category that they won in 2005 and 2007. They were also nominated for Best Music Video ("We've Got to Try") and Best Dance Recording ("Got to Keep On)," a category they won in 2005 with the single "Galvanize."
