Thomas H. Werner

Mr. Thomas H. Werner, Tom, serves as a Partner of Inspovation Ventures. Mr. Werner has been President and Chief Executive Officer of SunPower Corporation since May 2010 and also has been Chairman of the Board since 2011 July, 1st and also served as its Chief Executive Officer from March 2003 to April 2010. From June 2003 to April 2010, he served as the Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining SunPower, from 2001 to 2003, he held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Silicon Light Machines, Inc. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Cardinal Minerals Inc. since June 24, 2003. From October 1998 to May 2001, he was the Vice President and General Manager of the Business Connectivity Group of 3Com Corp. He also served as Vice President of the Manufacturing Personal Communication Division of U.S. Robotics. He has also held a number of executive management positions at Oak Industries, Inc. and General Electric Co. He also served in various positions at Oak Frequency Control, lastly as President of the Networks Group and McCoy International unit from February 1994 to January 1996. Currently, he serves as a Board Member of Cree, Inc., Silver Spring Networks, and as the Chairman of Silicon Valley Leadership Group. He serves as a Director of Silicon Light Machines. He has been a Director of Cree, Inc. since March 28, 2006. He has been a Director of SunPower Corporation since June 2003. He served as a Director of Three Five Systems Inc. since March 1999. He served as a Director of Exar Corp. since July 2004. Mr. Werner holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from George Washington University, bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University.
