Tim Peake

Tim Peake is a former Apache pilot, flight instructor, test pilot, and current European Space Agency astronaut. With a career spanning over 18 years in the British Army Air Corps, Peake has accrued over 3,000 flight hours on operations around the globe.

In December 2015, Peake became the first British ESA astronaut to visit the International Space Station. During his six-month mission, named Principia, he became the first man to run a marathon in space, completing the London Marathon on the ISS treadmill. He also conducted a spacewalk to repair the Station's power supply and took part in over 250 scientific experiments. His mission significantly contributed to space science and engaged with over 2 million schoolchildren across Europe in educational activities.

Peake is an ambassador for STEM Education, The Prince’s Trust, and the Scout Association. His dedication to promoting science and education is further exemplified by his role as a STEM ambassador. He is also a best-selling author of "Limitless: The Autobiography," with proceeds from his books donated to The Prince’s Trust. As a motivational speaker, Peake draws on his extensive experience as a combat search and rescue instructor and test pilot, focusing on themes such as leadership, innovation, and teamwork. He has shared his knowledge and experiences on various platforms, including the TV program "This Morning," discussing career paths to becoming an astronaut.
