Torah Bright

Torah Bright is one of the most dynamic snowboarders in the world. Her innovative half pipe runs and her ability to master any terrain have made Torah one of the most popular international athletes. She is one of the most photographed female snowboarders in the world. Torah has been featured on billboards, in newspapers, magazines and television campaigns all over the globe. She was even a character in the Microsoft X-Box Game Amped 2. Her 2006/2007 accomplishments include a string of wins rivaled only by Shaun White.

The Australian born star chases winter between the two hemispheres. While in the north, Torah hangs at her historic, renovated house in Salt Lake City, UT. She travels around the world from there. The other half of her year is spent in the south, training and competing in New Zealand and Australia. Family is extremely important to Torah. She is the forth of five children, all of whom enjoy the snow. Her older sister Rowena was a ski racer who competed in the 2002 Winter Olympics. Her brother Ben travels with Torah as her on snow manager/coach. Torah's younger sister Abby also has snowboarding talent.

By the age two Torah was on skis and by age eleven she emerged onto the snowboarding scene. Torah claims that she isn't competitive by nature, but her amazing contest record suggests otherwise. In 2003/2004 she exploded onto the circuit by dominating the FIS World Cup ratings after the third round of her first World Cup season. Torah has had many remarkable achievements, including the 2007 TTR Womens World Tour champion, the gold at the 2007 Winter X Games, two time World Superpipe Champion, Nippon Open, the overall winner of the 2007 Burton Global Open Series.

Torah leaves a lasting impression on everyone who meets her. With a smile on her face and quick to laugh, she is always gracious and charming. She expects big things from herself and will have no trouble accomplishing them.
