Torrey Smith

Torrey Smith, a former professional football player, is renowned for winning two Super Bowls, first with the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII and then with the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII. His career in the National Football League (NFL) saw him play as a wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Carolina Panthers, where he set several rookie records with the Ravens. Among these were the most receptions, receiving yards per game, and receiving touchdowns in a single season. Smith was recognized multiple times as an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Player of the Week and named to the 2010 All-ACC Football Teams.

Off the field, Smith made notable contributions to his community. He founded the Torrey Smith Foundation, now known as Level82, an organization that focuses on community development and equity. Part of Level82's initiatives includes a partnership with Baltimore City Recreation and Parks to establish the LEVEL Up Leadership Academy, revitalizing a recreation center that will host Level82’s dynamic programming, including academic support, athletic and enrichment activities, mental health resources, and social services. This connection to his hometown was recognized when Smith was included in "Strong Men and Women in Virginia History 2020" and had a park named after him in Colonial Beach.

Upon retiring from professional football in 2019, Smith has remained active in his community and in the media. He is the host of the podcast "Trending Thoughts with Torrey Smith" and the co-host of "The Opening Drive" on SiriusXM NFL Radio. Smith also continues to advocate for mental health resilience as an investor and brand ambassador for Rose Health. In 2016, he was the San Francisco 49ers' nominee for the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, an accolade that acknowledges an NFL player for excellence on and off the field.
