Tracy Maddux Biography
Tracy Maddux is a Principal Consultant at Artes Management, advising music and entertainment firms on technology and organizational integrations, corporate development, mergers & acquisitions, organizational design and revenue growth.
Previously, he was the Chief Commerical Officer at Downtown Music Holdings, leading the commercial licensing, business development and revenue maximization strategies for the global music company. Prior to that, he served as CEO of CD Baby, guiding it through a period of significant growth during the transition from physical to digital and streaming music formats, and evolving the company into one of the largest independent music distributors in the world. Billboard named Maddux to its Indie Power Players list in 2018 and 2019.
Maddux began his career in finance at Intel before becoming Chief Operating Officer and President of Logic General, a manufacturer of CDs and DVDs for the software and music industries. He holds an MBA from Indiana University and a BA from The University of Texas at Austin.
