Travis Rosen

Travis Rosen is familiar with challenges. As a dad, professional ninja, and public speaker, he has competed 10 times on NBC's "American Ninja Warrior." A former All American gymnast, Rosen retired from his ninja career after the show's 11th season in 2019 at the age of 44, turning his attention to his family and expanding his role as a speaker and author. Known for his resilience and ability to inspire, he earned the nicknames The Ageless Wonder and Mr. Consistency. His motivational prowess grew even stronger after a remarkable recovery from a severe ankle injury, described by some as the worst in the history of the show.

During the 11th season of "American Ninja Warrior," which was also his 10th participation, Rosen faced his most daunting challenge yet: recovering from a severely broken ankle incurred during a fall in the previous season’s National Finals. Initially told he might never run again, Rosen defied expectations by healing remarkably well and returning to ninja competition less than a year after the injury, qualifying for his ninth-straight National Finals. This season also marked his retirement from the sport, allowing him to focus more on his speaking and writing.

Outside of his athletic pursuits, Rosen leads a varied life, engaging audiences on topics like believing in the impossible, overcoming adversity, faith, teamwork, and the value of perseverance and preparation. Additionally, Rosen is an active stock market trader and mentors emerging competitors in the ninja warrior community. His academic background includes graduating from the University of Iowa with a major in Japanese, which included a year of studying abroad at Tsukuba University in Japan. Rosen now lives in Franklin, TN with his wife and three children, where his family and faith continue to be his driving forces.
