Van Riper is the gPause Community Programs manager within the People Development organization at Google. gPause offers mindfulness practices for individuals and groups as training for greater access to mindfulness as a way of being. Ultimately, my uncomfortably exciting goal is to build communities and a culture of mindful living at every Google office in the world.
Van has a Bachelors in Computer Science from MIT and worked for 30 years in Silicon Valley as a software developer before joining Google. However, his real super power is community building. Since 2010, Van has been working for Google building global communities initially around technology and currently around mindfulness.
