Vincent E. Boles

Vincent E. Boles is a retired Major General of the U.S. Army, with a distinguished 33-year career ranging from a 2nd Lieutenant to a 2-star General. He is noted for his extensive experience in logistics and leadership, especially during his tenure as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, G4 on the Army Staff at the Pentagon. There, he managed logistics operations and readiness for a force of 1.1 million soldiers. His final military assignments included overseeing surges into Iraq and Afghanistan, providing critical support in highly challenging environments.

After retiring from the army in 2009, Boles established Vincent E. Boles, Inc., a leadership and logistics consulting practice, leveraging his deep expertise in supply chain management to offer valuable insights to various organizations. He has delivered keynote speeches and workshops for a range of audiences, including notable companies and agencies such as Deloitte, Fidelity, USAA, Ernst and Young, AIG, The United States Secret Service, The Boy Scouts of America, and The American College. Boles is also a prolific speaker internationally, addressing groups from 40 to 4,000 participants.

Boles authored the book "4-3-2-1 Leadership…What America’s Sons and Daughters Taught Me on the Road from 2d Lieutenant to 2 Star General," which is now in its 3rd printing. This publication shares lessons from his extensive career in the army and is complemented by his roles as an adjunct professor of Leadership and Logistics at the University of Alabama Huntsville and the Defense Acquisition University – South. His academic and practical teachings are enriched by his experience, providing leadership tools and insights that are immediately applicable for his audiences.
