Ving Rhames

Ving Rhames is a Golden Globe winning actor and a Voice Arts Award honoree for his incredible voice acting. Rhames studied at the Juilliard Drama School and began his career in New York theater. Rhames' breakout role as crime kingpin Marsellus Wallace in Quentin Tarantino's unexpected cult hit, Pulp Fiction (1994), brought the actor his first major attention, while independent film fans had a taste of his imposing physicality and brooding air in earlier films, including The Saint of Fort Washington (1993) and David Mamet's Homicide (1991). Rhames won a Golden Globe in 1998 for best actor in a TV miniseries for his performance in HBO's "Don King: Only in America." The actor went on to enjoy a steady screen career and continuous acclaim for his multi-dimensional characters, such as supporting Tom Cruise in the Mission Impossible franchise and is the only actor besides Tom Cruise to appear in all of the films. He also gave strong performances in films Out of Sight (1998) and Con Air (1997), where, among his strengths, was lending a philosophical bent to career criminals and imbuing figures of authority with realistic flaws.

However, while Rhames' acting career was prolific, his voice is arguably more famous than his traditional screen roles. Rhames' is the deep booming voice behind Arby's "WE HAVE THE MEATS" commercial. His famous voice then allowed him to become one of the narrators for UFC. He also narrated the team introductions for the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI in February 2017.
