Matthew Zakreski

Matthew "Dr. Matt" Zakreski, PsyD is a professional speaker and clinical psychologist who specializes in working with neurodivergent (gifted, 2e, ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, etc.) people. Growing up as a twice-exceptional (gifted and ADHD) student, Dr. Matt struggled with being different and resolved to make himself the adult that he would have needed as a kid.

Dr. Matt has worked with organizations such as IBM, Day Pitney Law Firm, The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, the National Head Start Association, The National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), the Innovative Schools Summit, and the Grant Halliburton Foundation to apply his knowledge of mental health and neurodivergence to make accommodations more accessible to more people. He was the youngest person ever to headline the European Council on High Ability (ECHA) biennial conference in 2022 at The Hague.

Dr. Matt is the co-founder and lead psychologist at The Neurodiversity Collective, which provides teletherapy, consulting, IQ testing, and coaching. He is the author of "Cracking the Code: Helping Neurodivergent People Manage a World that Isn't Built for Them" which comes out in Fall 2024. He's also publishing a graphic novel on the gifted experience which is due out in 2025. Dr. Matt is a frequent guest on podcasts and local media; he also spoke for a TEDx Talk in June 2024 on using Improvisational Acting as a way to address and manage the challenges of living in an uncertain world.

When he's not working, Dr. Matt lives in New Jersey with his wife and children, where he enjoys haunted houses, craft beer, comic books, and the music of Bruce Springsteen.
